It's easy to think that you need to be an expert in order to work with woodworking plans. However, even if you take all the necessary precautions to avoid chipping (such as using the right blade and placing adhesive tape along the cut line), it's still possible that you may end up with a few splinters. When it comes to carpentry, there are two types of people: those who openly admit their mistakes and those who try to hide them. I can confidently say that I have never completed a project without making a few errors along the way.
It's a natural part of the process for any carpenter, and as soon as one project is finished, the next one is usually a bit more challenging.
